Finally been able to catch up on my reading. i finished a book that i had meant to finish when i bought it more than a year ago, at a warehouse sale when i was still working near expo. its a book about a merchant during the ages of the spanish inquisition, and sad to say that even though the action and romance wasn't quite up there. the author really made me feel the main character's love and affection for his dreadful year in lisbon and the affair that he had with the much older maria beatriz. Adam Runaway, a bittersweet read. |
