Finally the day is ending.
Ended my first day of IPP. I got a clear look at the office working environment (in IBM).
They are kinda flexible as long as u get your work done, u get to play all you want.

IPP Day 1:
Woke up on time, went there late. Didn't expect the train transfer at tannah merah to take 20 mins!
When i got there, everyone was already getting briefed.
Didn't remember to bring a Copy of my IC, resume and log book. Poor Scatter-brained me :(

Got briefed separately from the others, met my group mates and Officer-In-Charge. Went down to get my access pass photo taken.
Haha, gawd damned. Those lights were blinding!

I could barely hear my OIC, as she was speaking as though she was muttering under her breath.
I'm pretty sure the others had trouble hearing her too. Found out that, the guy in my group and my OIC lives at Sengkang too.

After collecting my pass, i took a good look at it. To my relief, photo turned out alright. Haha.
We finally proceeded to my work area. (I'm assigned to the Customer Service Centre btw)

It's a typical office scenario, with those high walled office workstations. My OIC introduced me to the person in charge of me and everyone else on the team. I learned that working hours is 8-5 :)) and that i could surf whatever non company related stuff i wanted (as long as its not publicly, i even saw mafia wars on some computers)

The day went by as two of the team members, briefed us on the basics on our job scope.
Its all pretty normal, including the lunch. Until the very last hour, the team leader found out that someone from the previous batch of interns did not do her job properly.
This jeopardized the teams reputation, and she was completely pissed.

She said "Ugh, if i had known i would have failed her, no wonder she always so relaxed", she then went on to day "Thats why interns shouldn't get too good grades".

My heart instantly dropped when i heard that, but from what i perceive her to be the way she acted all day. All i could think of her is this, "Shes a fair but strict person, if you screw up on your screwed too".

Hmm, my job looks pretty simple. But my IPP life is still uncertain, after all its just the start of the road.

After Work:
I had to cycle to different malls in my area to find print shops that could print my resume and IC. After all that finding  for a print shop at Rivervale Mall yesterday night, i still had no luck either at Rivervale Plaza.

Cycled to compass point to finally find the print shop that could print from my thumb drive. But it costed 1$ per piece! After printing, the shop auntie asked me to help her claim some umbrella from the lucky draw at the reception counter.

I agreed, when i redeemed those receipts that the lady gave me. The receptionist passed me an umbrella and a sesame street 2010 caledar. The shop auntie gave me the calendar for helping me, haha.

(I just realised how friggin' long this post was. LOL, have fun reading and don't get eye bleeds)
